Report Content for Legal Reasons
Adleton OÜ is committed to complying with local laws and protecting the rights of our users. This page will help you report content that you believe violates the law or infringes on your rights.
Please note, this process is for legal complaints only. For issues that violate our platform rules but are not illegal (e.g., spam or quality issues), please use the reporting features within the service or contact our support team.
Legal standards vary by region. Content that violates a law in one country may be legal in others. We will review all valid notices and take appropriate action, which may include removing the content globally if it violates our Terms of Service, or restricting it in a specific region where it is illegal.
Please select the reason for your report:
A. Reporting Copyright Infringement
We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable international laws. In the United States, our process is designed to comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Please be aware: Under laws like the DMCA, you may be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys' fees) if you materially misrepresent that content is infringing your copyright. If you are not sure whether the material infringes your copyright, we suggest that you first contact an attorney.
To file a copyright notice, you must provide all of the following:
- Identification of your copyrighted work.
- The specific URL(s) of the material on our Platform that you claim is infringing.
- Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Please send your complete notice to our designated copyright agent at service@adleton.com.
B. Reporting Other Illegal Content (EU Digital Services Act)
If you are in the European Union, you can use this process to notify us of content you believe is illegal under the laws of an EU Member State, in accordance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).
To file a notice about illegal content, please provide:
- The specific URL(s) of the content in question.
- A clear explanation of why you consider the content to be illegal, specifying the laws you believe are being violated if possible.
- An explanation of why you believe you are qualified to make this assertion.
- Your contact information (email address), unless the report concerns an offense where anonymity is protected by law.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the information in your notice is accurate and complete.
Please send your complete notice to our designated contact point at service@adleton.com.
What Happens After You Submit a Report?
After receiving a valid notice, we will review the material and take appropriate action. Our actions are guided by our policies, our Terms of Service, and applicable law.
- Transparency: We believe in transparency. For legal requests, we will typically notify the user who posted the content and provide them with a copy of your notice (with personal contact information redacted). We may also send a copy of the notice to third-party projects like Lumen for publication and research.
- Counter-Notice / Appeals: The user who posted the content has the right to appeal our decision. For copyright claims in the US, this is known as a counter-notice. If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will inform you. The dispute may then need to be resolved directly between you and the other user in court.
- Repeat Infringers: It is our policy to terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
